Our Story
My name is Tara, I was born and raised in Jamaica until I was twelve. I can still recall the first time my mother took me to Bath & Body Works for one of their big countrywide candle sales because I was missing my relatives in Jamaica and felt homesick.
The scent of the spring/summer collection sticks in my memory since it immediately made me feel at home (Jamaica) and made me smile. Throughout the years, I developed a candle obsession, to the point I used to save my lunch money to buy candles. I recollect calling my favorite cousin in Jamaica six months after I received my college diploma in 2016, asking her opinion on the idea of me beginning a candle/beauty business, and how would she feels about helping me start in Jamaica.
She was excited which made me even more excited. In 2017 mid year I lost a close friend due to gun violence, which brought me into a depression and anxiety , Burning candles helped me get through everything and made me feel better.
As a person who's trying to overcome depression and anxiety who has found inner peace through candles.
Che'tara elements shows others that there's beauty in all life obstacles, that they are able to unlock their potential and move forward by experiencing the same empowering relief I felt through the arranged scented candle collection and fragrance strategically created to make you feel confident, comfortable, and beautiful.
